1. What the programme is
BulkBite supplies an approved poster carrying a QR code and a backup code that belong to one approved partner. The partner displays it somewhere they are allowed to display it. When a new customer arrives through that code, pays for a plan and completes their first collection, the partner earns a reward in BulkBite meals, and in one case a once-off cash bonus.
The programme is operated by TDMF Group (Pty) Ltd trading as BulkBite, in Stellenbosch.
2. Applying, and what approval means
Anyone may apply. Submitting an application does not create any agreement and does not guarantee approval. BulkBite reviews each application and may decline any application without giving reasons.
Whether a person who has never bought a BulkBite plan may be approved as a partner has not yet been decided. Applications from non-customers are accepted and reviewed; they are not approved automatically. This clause will be replaced by the decision once it is made, and the version above will move when it is.
You become a partner only when BulkBite tells you so and issues you a partner code. Until then you have no code, no poster and nothing to display.
BulkBite has not committed to a response time, a printing arrangement or a delivery method for posters. Nothing on the website or in these rules promises one.
3. The poster, the code and permission
You may display only the artwork BulkBite supplies to you, unaltered, carrying your own code. You may not create your own BulkBite artwork, alter the disclosure line, or use the BulkBite name or marks for anything other than displaying the supplied poster.
You must obtain permission from the person responsible for the wall, board, counter or window before displaying anything. That is your responsibility, not BulkBite's. If you are not sure who that person is, ask us and we will help you work it out.
Every partner poster aimed at customers carries this line, and it may not be removed or covered: “This BulkBite partner may receive food or cash rewards if you purchase through this QR code.”
Your code is yours and is not transferable. BulkBite may issue you more than one poster - for example, one for a residence and one for a gym - so that locations can be compared. All of them earn into the same balance.
4. When a customer qualifies
A customer qualifies when all of the following are true:
- They are a new BulkBite customer.
- They arrived through your QR code or entered your partner code before paying.
- Their payment is confirmed by BulkBite's payment provider.
- They have completed their first collection. A booked or scheduled collection date is not a completed collection.
- The purchase passes BulkBite's refund, duplicate and fraud checks.
A scan does not qualify anybody. Scans are counted so that you and BulkBite can both tell whether a spot is working; they are counted as scans, not as people and not as earnings.
The following never qualify: your own purchases; purchases by somebody using your household or payment details to create a second account; duplicate accounts; purchases that are refunded, reversed or disputed; and purchases by anybody who is already a BulkBite customer.
How an existing enquiry with no purchase is treated has not yet been decided. Somebody who once asked BulkBite about a plan and never bought one may or may not count as a new customer. Until that is decided and published here, BulkBite will not treat such a purchase as disqualifying without telling you why.
5. What you earn
Rewards are held in Standard days. One Standard day is 2 Standard meals of approximately 400 g each, packed in one daily container - the same thing a customer collects. One Standard week is 14 meals in 7 containers.
- One qualifying weekly customer earns 1 Standard day.
- One qualifying monthly Standard customer earns 7 Standard days - one Standard week.
- If a customer who earned you a weekly reward later qualifies on a monthly Standard plan, your total entitlement for that customer becomes 7 days, not eight. If the weekly day has not been handed over yet it is replaced; if you have already collected it, the remaining six days are added.
Which weekly plans qualify has not yet been decided. BulkBite has not confirmed whether any paid one-week plan earns the one-day reward or only a Standard one. Until it is confirmed here, BulkBite will not refuse a weekly reward on that ground alone.
Rewards are meals, not money, and not a discount on anything. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person or set off against a plan price. The one exception is the cash bonus in clause 7.
6. Collecting earned food
Earned food is booked onto a collection date with you and collected at Saint Mary’s church, 13:00-15:00, on a Sunday, under the same collection rules as any other BulkBite collection.
Food that has been earned but not yet booked onto a date is not ready to collect, and BulkBite will not tell you that it is. Several weeks of earned food are not handed over in a single collection; they are scheduled across dates agreed with you.
How food is arranged for a partner who is not on an active paid plan has not yet been decided. You keep what you have earned either way. The arrangement will be written into these rules before any such reward falls due.
7. The once-off R500
When you reach 5 distinct qualifying monthly Standard customers, you earn a once-off cash bonus of R500. Your food rewards for those customers still count in full and are not reduced by the bonus.
It is once off. It is paid once per partner per campaign. Reaching ten, or fifteen, qualifying monthly Standard customers does not earn a second bonus.
BulkBite requests payment details only when a bonus is actually due, through a restricted process. The target is payment within 14 days of the fifth customer qualifying, subject to receiving valid payment details from you. BulkBite records the date you became eligible, the payment deadline and the payment reference.
8. Attribution: whose customer it is
A customer is attributed to you when they scan your QR code, or when they enter your partner code themselves before paying. A code the customer enters deliberately takes priority over one carried by their browser from an earlier scan, and BulkBite records the change.
Once a qualifying purchase has been recorded, the attribution is fixed. Any later change is a correction made by a BulkBite staff member and is recorded as one.
How long an attribution lasts has not yet been decided. BulkBite has not confirmed the attribution window or the full rule for competing codes. Until it is confirmed here, BulkBite will not refuse a reward on the ground that an attribution had expired.
If a customer's browser loses the attribution - a private window, cleared storage, a new phone - your backup code still works when entered at checkout. That is what it is for.
9. No stacking with other offers
One purchase earns one reward. A purchase that earns a Poster Partner reward cannot also earn the ordinary refer-a-friend reward, and the reverse is equally true. BulkBite enforces this on its own systems rather than relying on what is typed into a form.
The Poster Partner programme is a separate programme from the refer-a-friend offer. It does not give the customer free meals, and the customer is not told that it does. The customer buys the plan at the ordinary price on the ordinary terms.
10. Refunds, reversals and abuse
If a qualifying purchase is later refunded, reversed or successfully disputed, that customer stops qualifying. Earned food that has not been handed over is withdrawn. Food you have already collected is not clawed back; BulkBite records the adjustment and discusses it with you.
BulkBite may withhold or withdraw rewards, and may remove you from the programme, where it reasonably believes a purchase was not genuine, a code was used to claim somebody who was already a customer, a poster was displayed without permission, or the programme was otherwise being gamed. BulkBite will tell you why.
Repeated payment notifications, repeated collection confirmations and ordinary monthly renewals do not earn additional rewards for the same customer.
11. Expiry, pausing and ending the programme
The expiry policy for earned food has not yet been decided, including what happens when a delay is caused by BulkBite's own capacity rather than by you. Until a policy is published here, BulkBite will not expire earned food.
BulkBite may pause your participation, or close a campaign, by telling you. Rewards you have already earned are honoured. What happens to referrals that are in progress when a campaign closes has not yet been decided and will be published here before a campaign is closed.
You may leave at any time by telling us and taking your posters down. You keep what you have already earned.
12. This is not employment
Being a Poster Partner is not a job, an internship, an agency or a franchise. You are not an employee, contractor or agent of BulkBite. There is no salary, no wage, no commission structure, no guaranteed income and no target you are required to meet. You may stop at any time and so may BulkBite.
You have no authority to make statements, promises or agreements on BulkBite's behalf, or to represent yourself as BulkBite staff. What you may say about the programme is what these rules and the supplied poster say.
Any tax consequences of a cash bonus are yours.
13. Your information
BulkBite uses the contact details on your application to reply to you about your application and, if you are approved, to run the programme with you: your poster, your code, your rewards and your collections. Consent to any other marketing is a separate, optional tick on the application form and can be withdrawn at any time.
A partner applicant is not entered into BulkBite's customer sales follow-up. You will not receive abandoned-checkout reminders or be treated as somebody who tried to buy a meal plan.
You are never shown a customer's personal information. Partners see counts and reward balances, not phone numbers, email addresses or payment details.
Your information is handled under clause 15 of the customer Terms and Conditions, which sets out your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013.
14. Changes to these rules
BulkBite may change these rules. A changed version gets a new version number and a new effective date at the top of this page, and a published version is never edited in place. The version recorded against your application is the wording you agreed to; if a change materially reduces rewards you have already earned, it does not apply to them.
